Namm 2019 (National Association of Music Merchants), is an exclusively commercial trade fair dedicated to national and international distributors.
The product exhibitions are a general part of the fair, since they allow the distributors to see the news about to leave, negotiate agreements and plan their purchases for the next 6 to 12 months.
This event takes place every year in Aaheim, California at the '' Anaheim Convention Center '', and is one of the two largest music product trade shows in the world.
This year we saw many products that will be available at any time (in Blasting Modular we will have several surprises soon), brands like Korg, Dreadbox, Novation, Steinberg, Elektron, Arturia, Erica synths, 2hp, Qu-bit, Tennage Engineering. Noise engineering and many more brands !.
Next we will present some of the most outstanding products in the Namm 2019:
Volca Modular of Korg:
The Volca Modular is a small modular synthesizer (analog or digital) that incorporates some ideas of 0-coast synthesis of Make Noise, very similar to the difference that it uses very small cables.
This synthesizer has a very interesting look and, of course, incorporates the classic Volca sequencer at the bottom.
In addition to having a very affordable price that will be around €200, if you want to start in the world of modular.
Micro Freak of Arturia:
New hybrid hybrid portable synthesizer, made in collaboration with Mutable Instruments, presents us a powerful digital multimode oscillator based on the Eurorack Plaits module, an analog filter, a standard envelope, matrix of mods, arp and creative sequencer with a sensitive touch, in addition to a keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch.
About the price that will hover around € 300, it is a very good option in your studio at an affordable price.
Plasma Drive High Voltage Distortion Eurorack Module:
The plasma module is a module that has CV control on the level of distortion, dry / wet mix. With additional tracking oscillators up and 1 and 2 octaves down, it is possible to add even more harmonics to the signal.
A new module that will also make your Eurorack system even more eye-catching thanks to the plasma light it brings.
Prism, Bloom, Chord V2 of Qu-Bit:
Prism is a multidimensional signal processor with stereo inputs and outputs. It contains a variety of DSP effects that are assigned to a three-dimensional sonic space.
Bloom They call it a fractal sequencer with 32 steps and 2 channels. It will generate an infinite number of pattern variations using its fractal algorithm. And you can save up to 32 patterns.
An update of the original Chord module and the first thing you will notice is that it is half the size. After that, what you will find is a polyphonic oscillator with custom chords, new wavetables and a polyphonic four-voice mode.
And so we could go on and on, with a diversity of new products that are about to come out or that are already on sale, but due to lack of space and time we only show you a taste of what was presented.
We invite you to keep an eye on them, as they look great.
Also remember next year try to save a little to visit the NAMM 2020 and be among the first to see the new technology that you have prepared!
